Zombie Garden Gnomes

I'm in love with Garden Zombie Gnomes. I enjoy the regular ones as well but throw in a little Zombie and everything is just that much better! Dougfx makes some pretty killer ones (found here on etsy) that I would love to see sprout up in my garden.

Book Review: Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

It took me a few months to actually read this book. I am by no means a slow reader but it's very large and I have a full time job and a life on the side that requires my attention (say what?!). To sum this book up for those who have not seen the movie (which by the way varies enormously): 

Edmond Dantes is accused of a crime that he did not commit and sentenced to life in imprisonment.  After years of not seeing or speaking to anyone other than the jailer he finds himself face to face with another inmate who tunnelled his way by accident into Edmond's cell while trying to escape. With a friend who can now educate him Edmond finds a new leash on life by plotting revenge on those who imprisoned him and separated him forever from the love of his life. After his escape from prison he puts his plan of revenge into motion, destroying all the lives of everyone that ever hurt him.

Overall this book great. The twists and turns keep you on your toes. The character betrayal is real and believable. Although I had to print off a cheat sheet of all the characters to reference from time to time ( highly recommend to do this if you do read it) I found that this classic was definitely worth the read, in fact this novel is one of the few that I will probably read again.

Every Zombie needs to saunter at their own pace. You may need to crawl over a few, eat a few hearts along the way but never forget your goal.... Brains!

Spring has sprung

For the last couple of days the weather has been beautiful enough to jinx it with a shout out to spring. The warm weather has given me summer dress fever though. I cannot help but online shop while I day dream of lounging by a pool or sun bathing on the back of a speed boat. 

Blame Betty is one of my favourite local Betty shops. This dress is a new love of mine, too bad it's out of my size.

A Zombie can never be overdressed. Don't get caught stumbling around for eternity in a frumpy outfit that doesn't make you feel beautiful.

A girl cannot have enough shoes

No Zombie girl is complete without her own stitched flesh shoes. I came across these a couple years ago on Etsy here. Instant love!

I have recently discovered that she has a new design. Not only can you get them in human flesh but now in zombie flesh. I think I am more in love with the green zombie one's below. They may not be in my price range but damn! They are worth every penny. 

The Code

I fell off the face of the Earth for a few months. Living life as a reanimated corpse was and is a survival guide for me and for a while I forgot about the Code. I forgot to think like a zombie. I got hurt.
Now, I am a stronger Zombie than ever.

Rule #1

People are food, not friends. Do not try to befriend or love your food source, they will stab you in the head or blow out your brains the first chance they get. You are a reanimated corpse, why the hell wouldn't they?!
